Featured Board Member

Claire lives in Goreville, Illinois. She started training Labrador Retrievers to do hunt tests for HRC/UKC in the 80’s. She competed in AKC hunt tests and field trials in the 90’s. In 2016, her first French Hound came into her life, a Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen named Ellie. (She insisted to be in the photo too). Through Ellie, Claire has learned a lot about the hounds. Soon to follow were two more GBGVs.  Boo is her first Basset Fauve de Bretagne and she LOVES this breed. She now owns three Fauves, three GBGVs, and three Labrador Retrievers. Claire has been in officer positions in HRC clubs and is currently on the performance committee for the GBGVCA.
